Burned by Roommates

Thanks for the guest post by Donn Schroeder
I have been burned by roommates more times than I would like to admit. It all started my freshman year at Florida State. At first I thought my roommate, Amanda was as sweet as could be. She was polite and kept to herself. We never became great friends while we lived together, but we got along fine. That is, until we were in the process of moving out and she broke the faucet in the bathroom and blamed it on me. The dorm ended up fining me $200 for something I didn’t do. My next roommate, Christina, moved out of our apartment and didn’t give me any notice. I ended up having to pay her share of the rent for two months since I couldn’t find anyone to take her room right away. After that I decided that the only roommate I needed was my clear wireless TV. Living alone has been wonderful so far, and I don’t miss having a roommate at all. I’m glad that I have put those days behind me and I am looking forward to the next chapter in my life.

They played a lot of games this afternoon and had a lot of fun. Our daughter started her music class this morning. I asked her after the class how it was and she told me she likes it. She loves singing and playing the piano, that is why we decided to put her into the music school.
